Park Avenue. A shot I wanted to take so badly. Love this view.
York Station became my subway station for a week when I rented an apartment in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
I always find Broadway, no matter in what area I’m in. It breathes it’s own style and I love how I can find that style in the Financial District, Little Italy, Soho… and the Upper West Side.
This view from Soho looking down towards the Woolworth Building is one of my favorites in this world.
Upper East Side
Two weeks ago I was here. Back in Amsterdam now but miss the city. It was such a wonderful trip and even though I was a little under the weather for a bit, I still had the best time.
I just spent two amazing weeks in New York. I rented two apartments, one in Greenwich Village, the other in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
When I stepped out of my Dumbo apartment, I walked a bit and had this view.
And people wonder why I need a few days to myself after I come home from NY. I miss it like crazy!
I think this place is so timeless. I love spending time here, watching people.
Street scene from April last year. In two weeks I will be back in my beloved New York. Can’t wait to go out and shoot more photos.
My first post. What to say, what to do?
I wanted to start this blog to track my journey from Amsterdam to New York. Currently living in Amsterdam, in the future living in New York. Don’t know how yet, don’t know when. All I know is that it will happen.
I’m a photographer with a day job and go to New York when I can. Usually two to three weeks a year. I wander the city with my camera and especially love to go off the beaten track.
I plan to do a series about “a day in…” Brooklyn, Queen, Manhattan’s many areas…
